The BYU Men’s Chorus has released their performance of “The Cougar Song,” BYU’s fight song, to all streaming services. BYU released a video of their performance of the fight song last March, showcasing it in a way that is both distinctly BYU and unlike the version Cougar fans typically hear in the stadium.

Arranged by Brent Wells and performed live by the Men’s Chorus, the rendition transforms Clyde Sandgren’s historic anthem by adding a rich choral sound. The arrangement builds on BYU’s longstanding tradition of bringing choral music and school spirit together. 

Founded in 1901 as the Male Glee, the BYU Men’s Chorus is believed to be the largest collegiate male choral organization in the United States. Today, the roughly 180-voice ensemble includes students from across the country and around the world, most of whom are not music majors. Known for its unified sound, versatility and engaging performances, the chorus presents repertoire ranging from classical masterworks and sacred hymns to folk traditions and contemporary choral music, combining power and precision with warmth and musical storytelling.
