“Down By The Riverside” is the new single from the BYU Concert Choir, arranged by Ryan Murphy. An African American spiritual whose origins trace back to before the American Civil War, it’s been passed down through generations. The song has become a powerful expression of hope, renewal, and harmony.

The BYU Concert Choir is directed by Brent Wells. The choir is a select, mixed-voice ensemble of nearly one hundred students representing a wide range of academic disciplines. The choir performs choral-orchestral masterworks, traditional works from the choral canon, newly commissioned compositions, and music from cultures around the world.

The choir has been a featured ensemble at regional conventions of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), as guest artists with the Utah Symphony, and on multiple recordings.
